Giving campaigns
Church fundraising campaigns
A goal, a deadline, and a total that counts what the church actually took in — including the money that never went near a card reader.
A campaign puts a goal and a closing date on one of your giving funds.
Its total is worked out from that fund over the dates the drive runs, so the cash and checks an admin recorded count toward it automatically — not just what came in online. No gift has to be tagged, and no second number has to be reconciled.
The drive leads your church’s public giving page and appears in the members’ app. Campaigns are included on every plan.
How it works
A season on top of a fund you already have — not a separate pot of money to reconcile later.
Step 1
Pick the fund
The drive sits on top of a giving fund you already have — the building fund, missions, whatever the money is actually for.
Step 2
Set the goal and the closing date
Add a headline, a short story about why, and a photo if you have one.
Step 3
Share it
The drive leads your public giving page, so one link is all you need on a bulletin, a slide or a text message.
Step 4
Watch the whole picture
Online gifts, and the cash and checks you record, both move the total. Nobody has to reconcile two numbers.
What you actually get
The parts that decide whether a drive is worth running in software at all.
- A total that counts everything
- The figure comes from the fund itself over the drive's dates, so a check handed to the treasurer moves it exactly like a card gift does. Churches that raise most of their money on paper are the ones this matters to most, and they are usually the ones software forgets.
- The fund keeps its records
- Gifts still land in the fund's ledger, so your reporting and every giver's year-end statement are unaffected by the drive starting or finishing.
- Repeating gifts that stop themselves
- A giver can commit weekly, every 2 weeks and monthly toward the drive, and the last charge lands before the closing date. Nobody has to remember to cancel, and nobody is charged for a drive that already finished.
- What is promised as well as what has landed
- Alongside the total raised, you can see what the repeating gifts already set up will add before the closing date — the difference between where you are and where you are heading.
- A page worth sending
- A headline, a short story about why it matters and a photo, leading your public giving page. One link works on a bulletin, a slide or a text message.
- Finishing early, on purpose
- Hit the goal in week three and you can close it that day, with the page saying so. A drive that runs on past its goal looks unattended.
- A thank-you the whole church sees
- Psalmly drafts a church-wide announcement for you to review before it goes out. Church-wide by design: a donor-only mailing would silently miss everyone who gave cash.

Do cash and checks count toward the goal?
Yes, automatically. A drive's total is worked out from its fund over the dates it runs, so anything an admin recorded against that fund counts — the checks from Sunday, the cash from the bake sale — without anybody having to tag it as campaign giving. That is why the number on the screen matches what the church actually took in.
What happens to the fund when the drive ends?
Nothing. The fund is the permanent bucket and the campaign is a season on top of it, so your giving records, your reporting and your year-end statements are untouched. When the drive finishes the fund keeps going.
Can someone give monthly toward a drive?
Yes, and it stops itself. A giver can set up a repeating gift — weekly, every 2 weeks and monthly — bounded to the drive, so the last charge lands before the closing date and nothing carries on afterwards. They do not have to remember to cancel it.
Can we finish early if we hit the goal?
Yes. End it the day you get there and the page says so. A drive that quietly runs on past its goal reads as though nobody is watching it.
Where does a campaign show up?
It leads your church's public giving page, so anybody you send the link to lands on the drive rather than a general giving form. Members see it in the app too.
How do we thank everyone afterwards?
Psalmly drafts a church-wide announcement for you to review and send. It is deliberately church-wide rather than a mailing to donors: the people who gave cash are the hardest to identify and the easiest to leave out, and they are exactly the members a small church cannot afford to miss. If you do want a per-person list, admins can export one.
Can we run more than one at a time?
Yes, across different funds — a building drive and a missions push can run side by side. One fund carries one drive at a time, so a fund's total is never split between two competing goals.
