Your account and profile

Managing your personal Psalmly account — your name, photo, and contact details, your email and password, appearance, notifications, blocked members, signing in with Face ID on mobile, signing out, deleting your account, and sending feedback to the Psalmly team.

You have one Psalmly account that carries across every church you belong to. Manage it from Account (the menu under your name on the web) or the Profile tab in the mobile app. Change something here and it updates everywhere — because it's you, not your membership in any one church.

Your profile

  • Photo — the picture that represents you across Psalmly.
  • Personal info — your name, phone, and a short bio.
  • Email — change it with a quick verification step.
  • Password — update it anytime.

How much of this other members can see is up to you and set per church in that church's directory — see Your church directory. (Admins can always see your email, since that's how invitations work.)

Appearance

Choose light or dark mode under Appearance — it follows your preference across the app.

Notifications

Control what reaches you:

  • Email — choose which of each church's emails you receive (announcements and the weekly bulletin). It's per church.
  • Push notifications (mobile) — turn categories like announcements, groups, and events on or off for your phone.

These are independent, and either way you'll always still see things in the app. For where church news gathers, see Your Updates inbox and Announcements you receive.

Blocked members

Anyone you've blocked is listed under Blocked members, where you can unblock them. For how blocking works, see Blocking and reporting.

Signing in with Face ID or Touch ID (mobile)

In the mobile app you can turn on biometric unlock so you sign in with Face ID or Touch ID instead of typing your password each time. It appears in your Profile when your device supports it.

Signing out and deleting your account

  • Sign out is in your account menu (on mobile it also turns off push for that device).
  • Deleting your account is permanent and is done on the web (Account → Delete account). If you're on your phone, open Psalmly in a browser to delete.

Sending feedback to Psalmly

Spotted a bug or have an idea? Send feedback (in the menu on web, or the Profile tab on mobile) goes straight to the Psalmly team — not your church. We read every note, though we can't always reply. This is different from contacting your church (use its own contact form or ask an admin) and from an admin's support tickets.
