Blocking and reporting
How to keep your church spaces comfortable — blocking another member so you don't see each other, and reporting a prayer or group post to your church's admins for review. What each one does and how to undo a block.
Psalmly should feel safe and restful. Two simple tools help keep it that way: you can block someone so you no longer see each other, and you can report something that doesn't belong so your church's admins can look at it.
Blocking someone
Choose Block from the ⋯ menu on any of that person's prayers or group posts, or open their profile in the directory and use the ⋯ there. (An anonymous prayer offers no Block — there's no name attached to block.) From then on, in every church you're both in:
- You won't see each other's prayers, group posts, or profiles.
- It's quiet — the other person isn't told they've been blocked.
Blocking applies across all your shared churches, not just the one you were in when you blocked. It's easy to reverse: your Blocked members list lives in your account settings, where you can unblock anyone anytime. See Your account and profile.
Reporting content
If a prayer request or a group post or reply is inappropriate, use Report on it (in the ⋯ menu). Your report goes privately to your church's admins — the person who posted isn't notified that you reported them.
There's no Report on a profile itself: report the specific post or prayer, and block the person if you'd rather not see them at all.
Use it for anything that doesn't belong: spam, something hurtful, or content shared in the wrong place. You don't need to figure out whether it's "bad enough" — if it's bothering you, report it and let your leaders decide.
What your church does with a report
Your admins have a place to review what's been reported and can remove anything that shouldn't be there. Reporting is about care, not conflict — it simply gives the people who look after your church the chance to help.
