Receiving gifts on your public page

Once your church is set up for online giving, your public page can take donations from anyone — including visitors who don't have a Psalmly account and aren't signed in. It's the same giving engine your members use, opened up to the public so a first-time guest or a one-off donor can give in under a minute.

When the Give button appears

The Give button shows on your public page only when both of these are true:

• Your church has online giving set up — your Stripe connection is active and accepting payments.
• You have at least one visible giving fund.

What a guest does

A visitor taps Give and steps through a short form:

• An amount — they can pick a suggested amount or type their own.
• A fund — if you have more than one visible fund, they choose where it goes; with a single fund it's automatic.
• Cover fees — an optional choice to add a little so your church receives the full amount (more on fees below).
• Their name and email — the email is where their receipt goes.
• An optional note, and the option to give anonymously.

Guest giving is card only and one-time — saved methods, bank transfers, and recurring gifts are features for signed-in members. There's spam protection before any card is charged.

Where guest gifts show up

Guest gifts land in exactly the same place as member gifts — your Recent gifts list, the This month total, and the full gifts ledger. There's no separate "guest" area to check. Because a guest has no account, they're identified by the name and email they typed in (or shown as Anonymous if they chose that — anonymity hides them from your reports, but their receipt still carries their name). Receipts

Every successful guest gift triggers an emailed receipt to the address the giver entered, with a confirmation number — automatically, the same as for member gifts. You don't have to send anything.

Fees and where the money goes

Guest gifts follow the same fee model as the rest of your giving:

• Stripe's card-processing fee applies to every gift, on every plan.
• Psalmly's platform fee depends on your plan — free churches pay a small platform fee per gift; paid churches pay 0%.
• The Cover fees option lets the giver add these on top so your church nets the full amount.

The money is charged directly to your church's connected Stripe account and settles to your bank — Psalmly never holds your donations. Your church is the merchant of record, which also means refunds are issued from your own Stripe Dashboard.
