Giving to your church
How to give online through Psalmly — choosing an amount and a fund, giving once or on a schedule, paying by card or bank, the option to cover processing fees, giving anonymously, and what happens right after you give.
Psalmly lets you give to your church in a few taps — a one-time gift or a regular one, by card or straight from your bank. Your gift goes directly to your church; Psalmly never holds it.
Starting a gift
Look for a Give button — it's on your church's home, on the church's Giving page, and on your personal dashboard. Tap it to open the giving form. From your personal dashboard, if you belong to more than one church, you'll first pick which church you're giving to.
Choosing your gift
The form walks you through a few simple choices:
- Amount — tap a suggested amount or enter your own.
- Fund — choose what your gift supports. Most churches have a general "Tithes & offerings" fund, and may offer others like missions or a building fund.
- How often — give once, or set it to repeat weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. (Setting up a repeating gift is covered in Recurring gifts.)
How you pay
You can give with a credit or debit card or directly from a bank account. The first time, you'll add a payment method — tap Add payment method and follow the secure prompts. Whatever you save is kept safely for next time and works across all your churches (see Your saved payment methods).
Giving from your bank usually costs your church far less to process than a card, so it's a generous choice for larger gifts — but give however works best for you.
Cover the fees (optional)
Every online gift has a small processing fee. You'll see a cover the fees switch, already turned on, which adds that small amount on top of your gift so your church receives the full amount you intended. Switch it off whenever you like — it's your choice, gift by gift.
Give anonymously (optional)
If you'd prefer your gift not show your name in your church's giving reports, switch on Give anonymously. Your church's Psalmly giving reports will show the gift but not your name.
Two things it doesn't hide. Any note you write still reaches your church exactly as you typed it — this hides your name, not your message. And because your church processes payments through Stripe, your name and email still appear on the payment record in its own Stripe dashboard. If you need a gift to be truly untraceable, give in person instead.
It never affects you. Your own giving history, your emailed receipt, and your year-end statement always show every gift you've made, named and complete, because they're your records and you may need them for taxes.
Add a note (optional)
You can include a short note with your gift — a dedication, a prayer, or just a word of encouragement.
After you give
When you confirm, your gift is submitted and you'll see a confirmation — a one-time gift gets a confirmation number, and a repeating gift gets a reference for the schedule you just set up. For a card gift, a receipt lands in your email moments later. A gift from your bank shows as processing for 3–5 business days while it clears — that's normal; your receipt arrives once it settles.
