RSVPing and registering for events

How to find your church's events, RSVP "going / maybe / can't make it", complete registration forms to reserve your spot, and add an event to your calendar.

Your church uses events for everything from Sunday gatherings to retreats and potlucks. Depending on the event, you might simply note that you're coming, tap Going, or fill out a short form to reserve your spot. This guide walks through all three.

Finding events

Events show up in a few places, all leading to the same screen:

  • Upcoming on your church home — the next few things on the calendar.
  • The Events tab in your church's sidebar — the full list, split into Upcoming and Past.
  • Your personal dashboard — upcoming events gathered from all the churches you belong to, each tagged with which church it's from.

Tap any event to open it. A short event opens a quick detail card; opening it fully takes you to the event's own page where you can register.

Events you just show up for

Some events need no sign-up — they're open to everyone. The event will say so, and you can Add to calendar to save the date or Share to send it to a friend. That's it — come as you are.

RSVP events: "Will you be there?"

For events that want a headcount, you'll see three choices:

  • Going
  • Maybe
  • Can't make it

Tap one and it saves right away — there's nothing else to submit. You can change your answer anytime by tapping a different option. If the event has a limited number of spots, you'll see how many are left; once it's full you won't be able to mark Going (but you can still choose Maybe or Can't make it).

Registration events: reserve your spot with a form

Bigger events — a camp, a retreat, a meal — may ask you to complete one or more forms to register. The event page shows a Registration checklist with each form listed:

  • Each form is marked Required or Optional.
  • Each shows its status — Not started or Complete.

You choose which to fill and in what order; nothing launches on its own. Tap Start on a form, answer the questions, and Submit — you'll come right back to the checklist. A progress note ("1 of 2 required complete") tracks how close you are.

Your spot is reserved once every required form is complete. The page then flips to "You're registered!" Optional forms stay open — you can do them anytime, before or after you're registered. Already-completed forms show a View · edit button so you can re-open and update your answers whenever you need to.

If the event has a capacity and it fills up before you finish, it will show Event is full and registration closes — reach out to your church if you'd still like to come.

Adding it to your calendar

On any event you can tap Add to calendar to download it into your phone or computer's calendar app, and Share to copy a link to the event.

When an event is cancelled

If your church calls off an event, it doesn't just disappear — it stays on the calendar marked "Cancelled," with its title crossed out, so you know not to show up. Opening it shows a clear "This event has been cancelled" note, and its sign-up buttons are closed — there's nothing to RSVP to or register for. A cancelled event drops off the list on its own once its date has passed.

Who sees your answers

Your form answers and RSVP are only visible to your church's organizers — the leaders and admins who run the event. They're never shown to other members.
