Your Updates inbox

Where Psalmly gathers everything happening across your churches — the Updates inbox and the bell. What lands there, how to open and clear it, and how it differs from the push notifications on your phone.

Updates is your in-app inbox — one calm place that gathers what's happening across all the churches you belong to, newest first. Instead of hunting through each church, you glance here and you're caught up.

Finding it

On the web, a bell sits at the top right of your dashboard — tap it for a quick peek, with a small count when something's new. Inside a church, Updates is in the sidebar. In the app, tap the bell at the top of your home screen. All of them lead to the same full Updates page.

What shows up

Updates pulls together the things worth knowing from every church you're part of, each tagged with which church it's from:

  • Announcements your churches send.
  • A note when this week's bulletin is published.
  • Group news — like a request to join being approved.
  • Event news for things you're signed up for — a reminder the day before, and a note if it's cancelled, rescheduled, or moved.
  • Giving notes relevant to you — a gift that didn't go through, a refund, or a recurring gift that needs attention.
  • A note if your church adds you to the team section of its public website.

Tap any item to jump straight to it.

Keeping it tidy

On the web, filter to Unread to focus on what you haven't seen, and use Mark all read to clear the count. In the app, unread items sit under NEW at the top and Read all clears them. Reading an item marks it read on its own.

Updates vs. notifications on your phone

Two different things, and you control them separately:

  • Updates is the in-app record — it's always here when you open Psalmly, whatever your phone settings.
  • Push notifications are the optional alerts on your phone (mobile app). Some things, like a weekly bulletin, land quietly in Updates without buzzing your phone; urgent announcements can do both.

To choose which push notifications and emails you get, see Your account and profile.
