Getting started with Psalmly
What Psalmly is, how your personal dashboard works, and how to move between your churches.

Here’s how to find your way around Psalmly, on your phone and on a computer.
The app opens on your home. Every church you belong to is listed here. Tap the bell for your Updates: announcements, bulletins, and news about your groups and events.
Tap your church, then “Open.” Its Home shows the next gathering, this week’s bulletin, and announcements. Along the bottom: Prayer, Groups, Events, and Giving. “All my churches” takes you back.
On Prayer, tap “I’m praying” to let someone know. To share a request, write it, then choose who sees it: “Whole church,” “Anonymous,” or “Prayer team only.”
Under Groups, find one to join. Under Events, tap one for the details. If it asks, “Will you be there?” tap your answer. Some events are just for members: they’re here, but not on your church’s website.
Under Giving, tap “Give now” to give once, or on a schedule. Your year-end tax statements are under Giving on your home.
To meet your church, tap “Directory” on its Home. “How you appear” lets you choose whether you’re listed, and whether to share your phone or email.
On a computer, sign in at psalmly.app. Everything’s in the menu on the left, with “Help” at the bottom. In the app, Help is on your Profile tab. No app yet? It’s free on the App Store and Google Play.
That’s all you need to get started.
Psalmly helps small churches stay connected through the week. You can belong to as many churches as you like — as a member, an admin, or both — and Psalmly brings them all together in one place.
Your personal dashboard
When you sign in, you land on your personal dashboard. It gathers Your churches — every church you belong to, whatever your role — so you never have to pick an "account" first. From here you drill into any church.
Members and admins
Each church you belong to has a role attached to you:
- Member — you take part in the life of the church: prayer, events, groups, and giving.
- Admin — you also manage the church itself: its website, people, and settings.
The same person can be a member of one church and an admin of another. Psalmly shows you the right side of each church based on your role there.
Managing a church — its website, people, and settings — happens on the web, in your browser. Starting a new church is on the web too. The Psalmly phone app is the member side: prayer, events, groups, bulletins, announcements, the directory, and giving.
Moving between churches
Open a church from your dashboard to enter it. If you're an admin, opening it takes you straight to the admin tools; if you're a member, it takes you to that church's member space. Switching churches never signs you out — your whole list stays one tap away.
Joining or starting a church
- To join a church, you'll use an invite — either a share code or an emailed invitation. See "Joining a church."
